Justin’s first album, My World, was released November 17, 2009. It’s first single, One Time went platinum in the United States and Canada. When a song or album goes platinum, it has sold one million units. The album sold around 137,000 in its first week and won the strongest-debuting release for a new artist that year. The My World album went platinum only 3 months after its release. The track list features a collaboration with Usher on the track “First Dance”. Its notable hits are “Love Me”, “One Less Lonely Girl” and of course, “One Time”. The songs have young and sweet lyrics with R&B and pop musical tones. March 19, 2010, Bieber released the second part to the first album titled, “My World 2.0”. This album sold 238,000 copies in the first week and he became the youngest solo male artist to go to the top of the charts. My World 2.0 has collaborations with Ludacris, Sean Kingston & Jessica Jarrell. Its largest success, “Baby”, is the 19th most viewed video on Youtube today. In 2011, the album received the nomination for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. Both albums combined spent 654 weeks on the charts. Bieber’s first world tour featured songs from both My World and My World 2.0 and was titled accordingly, “My World Tour”. It began on June 23, 2010 and ended October 19, 2011. It gained a total revenue of $53 million and in total Justin played 127 shows in different 5 continents.
